Masking before powder coating automotive parts
Powder coating requires certain areas to be protected to prevent paint deposits on functional surfaces. The tape must withstand the process temperature, remain stable during oven curing and allow clean removal afterwards.
This application concerns fixing areas, contact surfaces, mating edges, screw areas, metal supports or technical parts requiring a clean boundary after powder coating.
- Mask a fixing area before powder coating
- Protect a contact surface on a metal part
- Preserve a screwing or assembly area
- Prevent paint deposits on a technical area of the part
- Protect an edge or mating area
- Achieve a sharp boundary after powder coating
- Mask a bearing surface on a metal support
- Protect a clipping area before paint curing
