The behaviour of an adhesive tape or label can vary according to its material, dimensions, thickness, roll format or expected performance. To help you select equipment suited to your application, DERFI offers a free personalised video testing service.
Tests are carried out with your own consumables to observe their behaviour under conditions representative of your use. Several parameters can be assessed :
- the roll dimensions ;
- the consumable width ;
- the required cutting length ;
- the number of cuts to be made ;
- the consistency of dispensing ;
- the consistency of performance during an extended test.

How does the test work?
You tell us about your application, the consumables used and the criteria you wish to check. Our team then selects one or more machines that may meet your needs.
After receiving your consumables, we carry out the requested tests and film them. The video allows you to see how the machine operates and the result obtained before making your decision.*
To reproduce conditions as realistically as possible, we recommend sendinga complete roll. This allows us to check, among other things, its dimensions and behaviour during unwinding.

Cutting systems designed to make operations safer
Depending on the model, DERFI-made equipment can incorporate various protected cutting systems :
- Sliding cutter : moving the slider cuts the adhesive tape while limiting direct contact with the blade.
- Cutting protected by washers : the blade is enclosed to reduce access to it during use.
