An adhesive dot or a double-sided die-cut is a pre-cut piece with a sticky surface on each side. It allows for the assembly of two materials without using liquid glue or visible mechanical fasteners. Its shape and dimensions are predefined to facilitate quick, precise, and consistent application.

Double-sided adhesive tape is supplied in the form of a continuous roll and must be cut to the desired length. A die-cut is already transformed into the necessary format. It allows for the application of a constant amount of adhesive in the same location, limits manual cutting, and improves the repeatability of series operations.

Double-sided adhesive dots can be used for fixing plates, supports, components, decorative elements, or advertising pieces. They are particularly suitable for POS displays, signage, layout, electronics, packaging, and industrial assemblies requiring a clean and discreet fixation.

Yes. Adhesive pieces can be made in different shapes, sizes, and thicknesses according to the bonding area and the geometry of the elements. It is particularly possible to design round dots, squares, rings, or technical shapes from a plan. The feasibility depends on the chosen adhesive and the requested tolerances.

The choice depends on the materials to be assembled, the bonding surface, the weight of the elements, and the mechanical constraints. It is also necessary to consider the thickness, transparency, temperature, exposure to UV or humidity, and the desired duration of adhesion. A test allows for checking the adhesion and strength of the assembly.

In certain applications, a high-performance adhesive pad can replace or complement a mechanical fastening. It avoids drilling, distributes the stresses over the bonded surface, and improves the appearance of the finished product. However, this possibility depends on the weight of the parts, the forces applied, the available surface, and the conditions of use.

A grip tab facilitates the handling of the pad and the removal of its protective liner. It allows the operator to grasp the piece without directly touching its sticky surface, which simplifies application and limits the risk of contamination. This solution is particularly useful for small parts and repetitive operations.

The surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and residues. The pad must be correctly positioned and then pressed evenly over its entire surface. It is also recommended to respect the adhesion build-up time before subjecting the assembly to significant forces.
