Strapping machine

An industrial bundler is a machine designed to automatically wrap a product or a set of products with adhesive tape. It allows for the maintenance, grouping, or identification of items before storage, shipping, or shelving. It is mainly used in repetitive packaging and preparation operations.

A bundler allows for obtaining regular and properly maintained bundles while reducing manual handling. It improves the packaging rate, facilitates the repetition of operations, and ensures a more uniform presentation. The tape is applied around the products to group them without requiring complete packaging.

A bundler uses adhesive tape to wrap and hold products or bundles. A strapping machine generally applies plastic or metal strapping requiring more tension. A film wrapper, on the other hand, wraps products with stretch film. The choice depends on the level of support required, the fragility of the products, and the type of packaging.

A wrapping machine can be used to group together many industrial, food, logistical or commercial products. It is particularly suitable for bundling long, cylindrical, fragile products or those sold in batches. However, the dimensions, shape, weight and strength of the items must be compatible with the wrapping area of the machine.

Compatibility depends on the model of the wrapping machine. The DSE1NEO notably accepts adhesive tapes made of paper, polypropylene or PVC, with a width between 15 and 30 mm. The tape must be chosen according to the desired level of hold, the surface of the products, and the storage or transport conditions.

Some wrapping machines can be equipped with a printing system that allows direct addition of information onto the adhesive tape. The DSE1NEO can notably be optionally equipped with an inkjet printer to print logos, barcodes or product information during wrapping.

The choice depends on the dimensions and shape of the products, the maximum diameter to be wrapped, the width of the tape, the desired speed, and the preferred triggering mode. It is also necessary to determine whether the machine will be used at a standalone station or integrated into a packaging line.
