An acrylic glue generally offers good resistance to ageing, UVs and temperature variations. A rubber glue often provides quick initial adhesion on many materials. A silicone glue is more suitable for high temperatures and certain difficult surfaces. The choice should always be made according to the substrate and the conditions of use.

The surface must be clean, dry and free from dust, oils or residues that may reduce adhesion. The tape should then be applied with consistent pressure to ensure good contact with the substrate. On a rough, fragile or difficult-to-adhere surface, a preliminary test allows for checking adhesion and the quality of removal.
