Description

What is PE Foam Double-Sided Adhesive Sheet Cutting?

The N1144B PE foam double-sided adhesive is compatible with sheet cutting. This means that, in addition to adhesive rolls, we can provide pieces in various shapes.

Standard shapes: Squares and circles with variable diameters
Custom cutting: Tailored to the desired shape
High-volume production: Our machines are suitable for large-scale production
Available with or without pull tabs

Application Conditions

    • Application temperature should be between 15°C and 30°C
    • Ensure the surface is clean, degreased, and dry before application
    • Do not touch the adhesive surface of the tape
    • Apply firm pressure during application for optimal performance
    • Maximum performance is achieved after 24 hours at 23°C

Storage Conditions

    • It is recommended to store this product in a well-ventilated, clean, and dry environment
    • Ideal storage temperature is between 10°C and 30°C
    • Shelf life is at least 24 months under these conditions
Features
Benefits

A Thick Adhesive That Conforms to All Surfaces

The high thickness of the foam allows this adhesive to adhere to the roughest surfaces, including walls. Its acrylic adhesive mass provides strong adhesion on various substrates such as metal, glass, wood, and many plastics.

A Foam That Absorbs Impacts and Sounds

The closed-cell PE foam used as the backing for this adhesive has noteworthy acoustic absorption and shock-absorbing properties.

Application

Assembly of Panels or Stiffeners

This 1-millimeter thick polyethylene foam is ideal for outdoor applications. Its high conformability ensures strong adhesion to various smooth surfaces (metals, plastics, glass) as well as rough surfaces (wood, walls, etc.).

The format cutting allows for the production of double-sided foam squares that can be directly applied to panels without the need for additional cutting. Compared to roll cutting, this not only saves time during assembly but also helps to avoid errors by standardizing the assembly process.

Point of Sale (POS) Assemblies

The POS sector extensively utilizes this type of double-sided foam for the permanent assembly of various elements made from cardboard, plastic, or metal, as well as for wall displays.

For these applications, we offer rolls of round or square pads, with or without a grip tab.

Attachment of Logos or Decorative Elements

This conformable foam can perfectly adapt to the shape of the substrate. Custom format cutting allows the adhesive to be tailored to the contours of the item being bonded. This is particularly useful for attaching logos and for assembling all types of objects.

Examples include mounts for action cameras (like GoPro), attachment of decorative items, and double-sided foam in the shape of a smartphone or tablet, etc.

Applications in Vehicles

This type of double-sided foam has numerous applications in vehicle interiors. The format cutting allows it to adapt to complex shapes and standardize the assembly of:

  • Mirrors
  • Door trims
  • Logos
  • Insulation and acoustic absorption materials

Bonding of Carpentry Elements

With its acrylic adhesive, this PE foam double-sided tape adheres strongly to many surfaces. It is widely used in interior carpentry for bonding decorative moldings, baseboards, and for assembling plastic or metal profiles.

However, the flexibility of the foam can pose a challenge when removing the silicone paper backing, as it may compress under pressure and the end may tear during peeling.

To address this, we provide rolls with a grip tab around the perimeter, which saves time during the release of the strips.
