This electrical tape dispenser is mainly intended for the industrial operator whose activity requires the repetitive, intensive and precise use of single sided or double-sided adhesive tapes.

The first advantage of the M1000 electric dispenser is the automation of the dispensing of tape and other double-sided adhesives. The device automatically dispenses the adhesive pieces thus freeing the industrial operator from the tedious and slow manual distribution of the adhesive tape.

The second great advantage of this electronic scotch dispenser is the system that allows it to cut strips to length. This feature comes in the form of programmable keys that allow the BIMA A690 user to predefine a desired length for the adhesive strips. These lengths can be set in centimeters or millimeters.

This special cutting system can be used in either automatic mode or semi-automatic mode.

Semi-automatic mode :

In this mode, the operator can define the length of the pieces of tape to be delivered, then release them by pressing the unwind button. Thus, once the adhesive tape has been removed by the user of the M1000 automatic dispenser, they will have to press the dispensing button so that a new piece of tape can be presented.

Automatic mode :

This mode offers a much more autonomous unwinding. In the same way as in the previous mode, the operator must select the desired length for their pieces of adhesive tape. A strip of adhesive tape will automatically appear through the output cassette. When the operator takes the piece of tape, a new piece of adhesive film will be automatically dispensed.

There is also a third mode on this device. This mode is executed outside the programmable length function and allows the user to decide how long a strip of tape they want. The ZCM1000 user simply needs to manually unwind the adhesive tape using the unwind button. The length of the latter will be determined by the user until the correct length is reached – after which the button with the down arrow must be released. Then simply press the SCISSOR key to proceed with cutting.

Another special feature of this reel is its adjustable pressure function. Indeed, thanks to a knob located on the front of the device, it is possible for the industrial operator to adjust the outlet pressure of the scotch pieces. This option has been designed so that the device is compatible with thicker and more heavier rolls than traditional adhesive tapes. Thus, the unwinding of the adhesive films will be stable and controlled during the use of the M1000 automatic dispenser.

Thus, the blade of this automatic dispenser was forged out of reinforced steel in order to preserve the durability and efficiency of its cutting. This guillotine cutting blade is designed for approximately 200,000 cuts.

As for the outer casing of the device, the frame of the BIMA A690 is protected by a metal coating so as to preserve the durability and resistance of the machine over time. This material is also designed for flame retardancy. This means that the ZCM1000 meets the safety standards required for factory assembly lines.

Finally, the M1000 is very versatile when it comes to accommodating adhesive rolls of various types and sizes.

In fact, this automatic tape dispenser has a three-in-one adaptable hub. It is thus compatible with chucks that are 25 mm, 38 mm and 76 mm in diameter.

It can also accommodate rolls between 7 mm and 51 mm wide, with an outside diameter of up to 180 mm. With regard to the different types of adhesives, the ZCM1000 is suitable for most types of adhesive rolls, single sided or double sided, except HBV and thick foam (best to try first). It should be noted that it is possible, as an option, to integrate a large roller support into the ZCM1000 to offset rolls with a larger outside diameter.

Using this industrial dispenser for wide adhesive rolls

Once the A690 automatic dispenser is installed, one of the following modes can be selected: automatic, semi-automatic and unwind mode.

Automatic mode:

First set the ON/OFF switch to ON.

Simply press the AUTO button on the device, then program the desired length using the CM or MM buttons. Then adjust the pressure of the roll according to the size and thickness of the adhesive reel, then recover the first strip of adhesive tape. The next one will be distributed automatically thanks to the M1000 reel sensor.

Semi-automatic mode:

This time set the ON/OFF switch to OFF.

Then press the AUTO button to unroll the tape to the length indicated on the digital panel. Press the AUTO button again for the next cut, and so on.

Unrolling:

For this mode, simply press the down arrow until the desired tape length is reached. Then press the CUT button on the device (illustrated with a pair of scissors) to cut the adhesive film.

Setting up and loading the roll

The installation of the M1000 is simple and very intuitive.

First, insure that the device is plugged into the mains. Then place the roll of adhesive around the hub and position it in the place provided for this purpose. Unroll the adhesive tape so that it is dispensed from above, then stick the adhesive strip onto the metal drive rollers. Finally press the ADVANCE button (down arrow), in order to unroll the adhesive through the cassette. The device is now ready for its first use.

Maintenance and cleaning

Proper safety precautions will need to be respected when servicing and cleaning the M1000 electronic dispenser. It is a cutting device whose parts can be dangerous once the device is opened. Maintenance must be performed by a professional. Avoid contact with blades and electrical systems.

Do not use detergents or other damp products to clean this device. It is therefore not recommended to clean the appliance with wipes. Rather opt for a dry cloth for cleaning.

In addition, it is preferable to remove the roll of adhesive when the automatic dispenser is idle for long periods ot time. This is to avoid the accumulation of glue residue on the blade. However, if this were to happen, carefully apply a bit of silicone oil to the guillotine-cut blade.
