Is the TDA-M suitable for all types of tape?

Our TDA-M automatic tape dispenser is available in several versions to suit different types of tape. For protective films such as our G0107B, the TDA-NM should be used. For acrylic foams such as our DJUMBO products , the adapted version will be the TDA-NSLF. In order to be able to unroll protective films and masking tape, the TDA-NM version is the most versatile.

Does the TDA-M require regular maintenance?

The TDA-M is an industrial tape slitter. This machine does not require regular maintenance.

Is it possible to adjust the length of the adhesive tapes being dispensed?

Yes, the TDA-M allows you to adjust the length of the adhesive tapes being dispensed, providing great flexibility for various industrial applications.

TDA-M automatic tape dispenser for packaging tape with memory

This compact and extremely robust automatic tape dispenser is equipped with a multitude of features designed to streamline the tasks of industrial operators. Therefore, this device is intended for repeated and precise dispensing of tapes of all sizes, from 6 millimeters up to 150 millimeters wide.

Two versions are available:

TDA080-M: Accommodates rolls from 6 to 80 mm wide
TDA150-M: Accommodates rolls from 6 to 150 mm wide

This industrial tape dispenser offers four modes* of operation:

This electronic tape dispenser for packaging tape is primarily designed for intensive industrial use. It is suitable for large-scale production operations that require regular handling of adhesive tapes. Therefore, it is an ideal product for assembling and cutting adhesive tape pieces, masking or masking, packaging, and closing cardboard boxes and other containers.

Another key aspect of this automatic tape dispenser lies in its ability to accommodate rolls of different sizes and materials.

The TDA can accommodate adhesive rolls up to 80mm or 150mm wide. This is a rare advantage among various industrial automatic tape dispensers. Additionally, the device is designed to support adhesive tapes with a maximum diameter of up to 230mm or 250mm, respectively.

Practically all types of adhesives are compatible with this automatic dispenser, but it is particularly suitable for packaging tapes.

The first advantage of this electronic tape dispenser lies in its automatic dispensing of adhesive films. Thus, four modes are available on this device:

1- Manual mode:

In this mode, the unwinding of the adhesive tape is accompanied by the operator at every stage of the cutting process. The operator controls the adhesive output by pressing the ADVANCE button. To complete the cutting process, they activate the cutter by pressing the “Cut” button.

2- Semi-automatic mode:

Similar to the previous mode, this mode operates without programmable length. The length of the adhesive tape is estimated. The operator must first press the ADVANCE button to dispense the adhesive piece.

There is no need to manually cut here; the dispenser will automatically cut the tape once the ADVANCE button pressure is released.

3- Automatic mode:

Here, the system is fully automated. The operator simply needs to set the desired length of the adhesive tape using the digital adjustment button located above the digital panel. Once the length is determined, simply retrieve the first strip for the second to be automatically dispensed.

No manual interaction is required for unwinding or cutting.

4- Interval mode:

This is one of the great features of the TDA. It allows its operator to set a time measure corresponding to the interval between each distribution. In this way, a new piece of tape can be dispensed every 10s, 15s, 20s, etc., allowing the operator to perform another task during this interval.

Furthermore, as mentioned earlier, it is possible to determine a cutting length. This is a significant advantage for activities that require precise and regular cutting of adhesive tapes. In automatic mode, the electronic dispenser will only dispense pieces according to the recorded length. This functionality represents a significant time-saving for its user.

It should be noted that the TDA ensures a 1 mm tolerance in the precision of its cuts depending on the type of adhesive. For example, for an acrylic foam tape, we recommend using the TDA-NSLF.

How to use this dispenser:

1- Power On: Begin by switching on the ON/OFF switch located on the dispenser to power it up.

2- Inserting the Tape Roll:

- Start by inserting the adhesive tape roll into the removable roll holder of the dispenser. It’s possible to insert two rolls simultaneously if needed
- Ensure that the tape end is positioned towards the two feed rollers.

3- Loading the Tape:

- Once the tape roll is inserted, place the end of the tape between the two feed rollers.
- Press the ADVANCE button to feed the tape into the two feed rollers. This action will secure the tape in place and prepare it for dispensing.

4- Mode Selection: Once the dispenser is powered on and loaded with the tape, you need to select the appropriate mode for your task. You have four options:

- Manual Mode: In this mode, the operator controls the dispensing and cutting process manually.
- Semi-automatic Mode: This mode operates without programmable length. The operator initiates the dispensing manually, and the dispenser automatically cuts the tape after dispensing.
- Automatic Mode: In this fully automated mode, the operator sets the desired length of the adhesive tape using the digital adjustment button.
- Automatic Mode with Time Intervals: This mode allows the operator to set time intervals between each tape dispensing action.

5- Dispensing Process:

- Manual Mode: Press the ADVANCE button to dispense the tape. Once the desired length is dispensed, press the CUT button to cut the tape.
- Semi-automatic Mode: Press the ADVANCE button to dispense the tape. The dispenser will automatically cut the tape after dispensing once the ADVANCE button pressure is released.
- Automatic Mode: Set the desired length of the adhesive tape using the digital adjustment button. Once set, retrieve the first dispensed tape, and the dispenser will automatically dispense the next tape of the same length.
- Automatic Mode with Time Intervals: Set the desired time interval between each tape dispensing action using the digital adjustment button. The dispenser will dispense tapes at the specified intervals automatically.

6- Switch Off: Once you have completed your task, switch off the ON/OFF switch to power down the dispenser.

TDA-M Memory Programs

There are 5 programmable memories and 2 additional modes with the TDA-M

The PRES mode…

You can select memory 1 through 5 and the unit will cut and dispense at the length programmed into the selected memory. Simply select the memory location you want by pressing and then releasing the M/Reset button.

The LOOP mode.

You can select memory 1 through 5, the unit will start dispensing at the selected memory length and then with each cut the unit will automatically sequence to the next programmed length. After reaching the last programmed length the unit will loop back to memory 1 and start sequencing again. See Advanced LOOP Mode Functions for more details.
