Description
Designed with the aim of offering a safer alternative to users wishing to cut 50mm wide tape, the DS50TB hand-held dispenser sports a mechanism that isolates the cutting blade from exposure. For safety reasons, this adhesive tape dispenser is equipped with two protection wheels on either side of the blade.
Feature
This stainless steel adhesive tape dispenser is designed for the intensive handling of 50mm wide rolls of tape. Its purpose is to dispense pieces of tape repeatedly. It can be used for dispensing labels on rolls or with classic rolls of tape, and can be used to hang up posters etc…. Many users use this dispenser to close plastic bags, seal cartons or to tape shut fittings etc….

Application
Setting up and loading the roll
Like with any dispenser, loading a new roll of adhesive is simple. It is important to ensure that the inner hub is of the correct size with regards to the roll of tape used. While this one-hand tape dispenser is designed for use with 50mm wide rolls of tape, it can be used with narrower rolls if needed. Once the roll of tape is loaded onto the hub, pull the end of the tape and place it under the black roller. The sticky part of the tape should be in contact with the knurled roller in order to bring the tape and blade into contact. This dispenser is now ready to use, all the user needs to do is to pull on the strip of tape and press it onto the blade slightly sideways in order to get a straight and clean cut.
How to use this one-handed manual adhesive tape dispenser
First of all, find a flat surface on which to place the dispenser. Holes are provided on the frame of the dispenser in order for it to be mounted onto a table or workbench. Make sure that the dispenser remains stable and is securely attached to the work surface. Once the device is ready, refer to the information above to safely load it with a roll of tape.
Spare parts and maintenance
After hundreds or even thousands of cuts, it is possible for the blade to lose its sharpness and become dull. Should this be the case, DERFI keeps stock of spare blades and spare parts. Regarding maintenance for the DS50TB, make sure that the blade remains clean and that glue residue does not accumulate on the blade as this could lead to problems with cutting the tape.
